The definition of holistic health emcompasses all facets
of our lives, taking into account all influencing factors.
Alternative therapies will not be nearly as benefical if
the body is not in balance. The goal is to re-establish
balance by the body. In order for that to happen several
"rules of thumb" must occur.
These "rules of thumb" are basically what we all know to
be important, but perhaps we don't priortize. Let's
review the list:
Adequate sleep. If you have to use an alarm clock
to wake up and don't feel refreshed apon rising,
you most likely are not getting as much sleep as
you need.
Stress has significant negative influence on our
bodies. It is difficult to eliminate stress
completely, but a wise goal would be to do what
is necessary to reduce your stress level.
Good nutrition is vital! This includes whole
foods as a major part of your daily diet, while
reducing refined foods and bad fats.
Exercise or physical activity are fundamental!
Best to occur daily.
Fresh air and sunshine are also key to a healthy life.
Clean, pure water is essential. There are so
many vital roles water plays in our lives. This
factor can not be overlooked. Please watch for

Establishing good habits can go a long way when
incorporating these definitions of holistic health.
