Indole-3-Carbinol

Indole-3-Carbinol is a substance naturally occuring in the brassica family of foods, including cabbage, broccoli, and brussel sprouts.

Indole-3-Carbinol also helps with the metabolism of estrogens in our body. Excessive estrogens puts us at risk for many cancers and menstrual irregularities.

This compound stimulates both phase I and phase II detoxification enzymes in our liver.

The reason this is so very important is this two step detoxification process is necesary for the complete elimination of particular toxins.

If the first part of the process is stimulated and there are not sufficient nutrients to support the second phase, then the resulting toxins are even more hazardous than they were initially.
