Osteoporosis Risk Factors and Naturopathic Medicine
Osteoporosis risk factors assessment should only be used as a guideline. This is not a "tell all" to let us know who will develop Osteoporosis, however the likelihood of developing the disease goes up the more risk factors present.
My personal perspective on Naturopathic Medicine is we always have room to improve our situation.
The same is true with Osteoporosis.
Many of the risk factors that are listed below are things which we can manipulate in our favor.
Much of it starts by taking a
naturopathic approach
to your health.
The major risk factors include
Being Caucasian or Asian
Being Female
Postmenopausal women
Usually slender, shorter in stature, fair-skinned, blonde, blue-eyed
Family History of Osteoporosis
Early Menopause
