Yeast infections, also know as candidiasis or candidosis are a fungal infection caused by Candida, most often the species is Candida albicans.
Candida infections often involve various parts of the body including the skin and mucous membranes.
Candidemia is the presence of any of the pathogenic fungus Candida in the blood.
In rare cases, a systemic infection can be life threatening.
When a person's immune system is not strong enough Candida can become overwhelming.
The Systems Most Often Effected Are:
Gastrointestinal tract
Genitourinary
Endocrine
Nervous system
Immune system
General Symptoms include:
Chronic fatigue
Loss of energy
General malaise
Decreased libido (sex drive)
Immune System Symptoms Include:
